Coaching Rescues Polly

Some time ago, ie last year I was lucky enough to win the Day in Your Bathrobe Competition prize of Create the Life You Want or four sessions of one-to-one Life Coaching with a lovely lady named Erica McKinney of Pathway to The Soul courtesy of . For various reasons neither of us was able to arrange for this to happen, that is until last month…

One of the things identified during our sessions was my inability to manage my time and the need for me to plan in order to meet goals and objectives which I have set myself. I have already achieved one of them; in part but there are many more battles to go before I win the war and find myself financially independent.

One of the things identified during our sessions was my inability to manage my time and the need for me to plan in order to meet goals and objectives which I have set myself. I have already achieved one of them; in part but there are many more battles to go before I win the war and find myself financially independent.

Quite by chance this morning; when I opened my e-mail folder I came across a competition being run by Fuel My Blog! The prize is an iPod; which while it may be cool would also be an invaluable tool in my work as an aspiring writer and all round creative person; my new MP3 player has a limited capacity for downloading podcasts and dictation.

The real prize however is a cool new peice of technology recently released by Tsheets. Part of the conditions for the competition for the iPod was that you sign up for a months free trial of the Tsheets technology. So, what is it? Tsheets allows any PC to be used as a timeclock without investing in horribly expensive hardware and now it is available for use from your mobile/cellular phone.

Now to be honest, my interest in this technology was peaked only by the fact that it was a competition for the iPod’s; especially considering that I am a one armed bandit; working from home making Hand-made Greeting Cards & Wedding Stationary. In fact I felt a bit of a fraud entering the competition at all; being that I don’t have any employee’s at the moment, that is…

My task was to write an honest account of how I spend the first five minutes of my working day. Being a WAHM this proved to be a bit of a task, but despite LB sitting on my knee for much of the time I managed to get it down in black and white. It was then that it dawned on me; that this programme might be just the thing I need to get on track becoming more and efficient by making the more of my time. I only signed up for it this morning, as a direct result of the competition but already I can see the possibilities looming ahead of me.

If I am to achieve my goal of working only twenty-four hours a week, while making enough money at it to pay off my mortgage sooner, rather than later it will prove invaluable in terms of being able to measure my productivity. My second biggest problem is that I find it difficult to differentiate between work time and me time, as my work has evolved from my love of crafting and creating.

Keep reading this blog to find out more about Tsheets and their amazing new product…
